Flexible equipment wiring/cabling using POWERSPIDER. Based on a small connecting circuit board, ES&S Oliver Reiners e.K. introduces the POWERSPIDER solution. The objective is the flexible distribution of smaller functions within a more complex device with various recipients. In many ways this takes care of problems in the qualitatively high grade and custom-fit selection of connecting cables. The individual adaptation of standard cable sets is often the uneconomical due to high minimum order amounts.

Our extensive range of customer specific cable assemblies starts from the simple strand, coaxial transmission line, ribbon cable right up to round cables, USB and power supply cables including specially adapted cable sets for LCD displays, LCD inverter cables, LVDS and PanelLink. Individual consultancy and assistance in the development stage of the production of prototypes is one of our strengths as well as the production of small numbers of individual items and after sales service following series production.

The cables presented here are standard cables in accordance with technical standards that have been designed by us as per your wishes in a customer specific fitting. Smaller series are produced on location here in Germany and large series (1000 pieces onwards) are produced in the Far East. You can rely on our extensive quality management services in this case.

ES&S’s special area. We supply all cable systems required by a particular industry branch to operate LCD / displays. These could be TTL-cables for example, or LVDS cables, back light /LED back light cables or touch cables, that have all been customised for specific customer needs. Furthermore, we stock cable systems open on one side for all commonly used LCDs and inverters, ex store.

Crimped or soldered individual strands can be machined in different cross-sections (0.034 mm² - AWG32 to 6mm² - AWG8) and materials such as PVC, ETFE, PTFE and silicon. The strands used all have the necessary permits and approvals from DIN, VDE, CSA or UL. Depending on the electric strength and temperature range the following UL styles can be offered, for example:  UL1061, UL1571, UL1007, UL1015, UL1431, UL3239

Grey and colour coded ribbon cables can be machined in the grids 0.635 / 1.00 / 1.27 / 2.00 / 2.50 / 2.54 mm using different machining methods such as IDC/crimp/soldering. Special cables such as Ribbon-Twisted Pair cables or flat-round cables are available for machining.

Here we introduce you to suggestions for solutions for connecting cables with the protective type IP67. These can be offered in the following series: USB, RJ45, DSUB, MINI DIN, IEEE1394, DVI, RF-Koax. Since these products are produced exclusively in the Far East, some series can only be offered from minimum acceptance of 500 or 1000 pieces onwards.
Brief info: The protective type IP67 means that the cables or the plugs with flanges are resistant to dust and protected against temporary immersion.

Cable marking takes place upon the customer’s request and can be carried out directly using ink jet printing on the cable material through heat-shrinkable sleeve labelling or normal labelling. Special solutions are possible on agreement.

Coaxial cables in the series RG178 / RG179 / RG174 / RG316 / RG223 / RG58 / RG59 / RG142 / RG400 / RG213 / RG214 can be offered in extensive configurations. Here are some designations of the most common connection methods:  H.FL / U.FL / BNC / TNC / SMA / SMB / MCX / MMCX / FME / I-PEX / IPEX / KEL, SSL….etc.

We manufacture customer specific cables upon request and pack them as complete sets whereby special labels (e.g. manufacturing date, series no., etc.) and packaging board materials can be taken into consideration. It often also makes sense for economic reasons to assemble the cables in-house in our company directly into equipment or panels. Our team would be glad to advise you. 

Sleeves that protect against bending and heat-shrinkable sleeves only offer conditional protection from bending, tension moisture and other environmental influences. By using a hot melt or low pressure casting mould, you can protect your products and ensure a long lasting high level of quality. Moulded connections save space and can be shaped individually. They are also reasonably priced, resistant to moisture, robust against dirt, relieve tension and absorb impacts.

Network cables can be manufactured in different versions with CAT5 / CAT6 / CAT7 cables and connecting plugs for specific customer requirements. Special solutions such as installation/assembly versions (patch panel) are possible upon request.

Data and power supply cables as round cable designs in crimped or soldered technology. Round cable assemblies are available in all types of cables and are produced according to customer specifications.
