This CompactFlash PCI raid adapter is an excellent alternative solution for SSD. It has 4 CompactFlash sockets and the following features:

supports up to four CompactFlash memory cards
supports Raid 0, Raid 1 and Raid 10
CF1 & CF2 support CompactFlash TM card type I/II and IBM Microdrive™
CF3 & CF4 support CompactFlash TM card type I
the CF card can be operated as a bootable device containing the OS and application
includes Low Profile PCI and standard size PCI brackets
compatible with PCI specification, revision 2.2
integrated PCI DMA engine
32 bit, 33 MHz fully compatible PCI host interface
supports RAID 0 (stripping) to increase the performance of data transfer by simultaneously reading data on two drives
supports RAID 1 (mirroring) to protect the data from a disk failure by writing identical data on 2 drives
RAID 0 + 1 (mirrored-stripping) combines the stripping and mirroring technologies to provide the performance enhancements deriving from stripping as well as the data availability and integrity deriving from mirroring
features one 256 byte FIFO (32-bit x 64 deep) for host read access and write access
features command buffering from the PCI to CF
supports DMA and UDMA modes
supports Windows XP, 2000, NT, 4.0, 98, ME
supports any size of CF memory card up to 2TB
RoHS compliant
